Red Meat Connect BBQ Launch

Red Meat Connect BBQs

Sunday, 10 December 2023 : 12:00 am

Location: Around SA

As summer approaches, Livestock SA is bringing communities together through its 'Red Meat Connects Communities' BBQ initiative.

Livestock SA President, Joe Keynes, acknowledges the challenges faced by livestock producers amidst price reductions and challenging weather conditions. However, he emphasises the enduring strength of the industry.

The BBQ series serves as a platform to connect regional communities, allowing them to celebrate the exceptional products provided by livestock producers. Eligible groups can apply for a $300 funding grant to host their own BBQ event, contributing to the promotion of South Australian red meat.

If you're interested in hosting a 'Red Meat Connect BBQ,' please complete the expression of interest form.

Registrations are now closed

Hosts will receive a start-up pack and funding support, and are encouraged to share their events on social media to connect with South Australian producers. To promote red meat this summer, join the initiative by sharing your Red Meat BBQ events on social media using the hashtag #RedMeatConnectsSA.

For more information and involvement, contact Livestock SA on 08 8297 2299.

Supported by the South Australian Drought Resilience Adoption and Innovation Hub and the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, this initiative aims to showcase South Australia's premier red meat products and foster unity among producers.
