Livestock SA welcomes new board members in 2017-18
Livestock SA will welcome three new members to its board following the 2017-18 nomination process. Producers Mark Dennis, Koppio; Gillian Fennell, Lambina Station, Marla, and Kate McLachlan, Gawler River, will join two returned board members Richard Halliday, Bordertown and Allan Piggott, Moorlands, for a two-year term.
They join continuing board members Vice President Joe Keynes, Andrew Clarke, Jamie Heinrich, Bill Nosworthy and Penny Schulz.
Three existing board members, President Geoff Power, Treasurer Andy Withers and Jack England have decided to stand down from the board at the end of their current term.
Livestock SA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Curtis welcomed the new board members.
“Our three new board members have a strong background in livestock production and will provide strong representation from across the state while continuing to broaden the skills and experience of our Livestock SA Board,” he said.
“We acknowledge our three outgoing board members, our current President Geoff Power, Treasurer Andy Withers and Jack England, who have all delivered a huge depth of experience and commitment as inaugural members of the Livestock SA board. All have a strong history in livestock advocacy and we thank them for their long service to our industry.”
The Livestock SA Annual General Meeting will be held in conjunction with the inaugural GROWING SA Conference on Friday, August 11, 2017, at Hahndorf.
