Livestock SA vice‐president wins national award
Livestock SA congratulates Kingston livestock producer Jack England, who has been named Young Farmer of the Year in the Kondinin Group and ABC Rural annual awards.
Mr England, who is farms his family property Shepherds Hill and is also vice‐president of Livestock SA, was one of three finalists in the Farmer of the Year awards, announced in Melbourne last night.
Mr England was also runner‐up in the Australian Farmer of the Year category. Livestock SA president Richard Halliday commended Jack on the national recognition of his contribution to the industry so far.
“Jack is an outstanding contributor to the industry, not only beef and sheep but also grain and agroforestry. His input and experiences but also his passion and enthusiasm for the industry are valued and just what organisations such as Livestock SA like to see coming through its ranks,” Mr Halliday said.
