Inverbrackie Border Leicester Stud Recognised Among 2024 Australian Biosecurity Award Recipients
South Australia’s Inverbrackie Border Leicester Stud has earned national recognition with a 2024 Australian Biosecurity Award Commendation Certificate, celebrating their outstanding commitment to on-farm biosecurity and leadership in advocating best practices across the agricultural community.
The Australian Biosecurity Awards recognise individuals, groups and organisations that have shown a commitment to supporting and promoting Australia’s biosecurity and the systems that underpin it.
Managed by Ellen Arney, with support from her parents Lynton and Clare, Inverbrackie Border Leicester Stud is renowned for its high-performance Border Leicester rams, with the flock consistently ranked in the top 10% nationally.
Livestock SA CEO, Travis Tobin said it was fitting that the Arney family had been awarded a Biosecurity Commendation Certificate through this coveted national process, building on their 2023 recognition as Livestock SA’s Biosecurity Farmer of the Year.
“Inverbrackie’s approach to biosecurity includes stringent disease-prevention measures, robust management practices, and active engagement with producer networks to raise awareness of biosecurity’s importance.”
“The Arney family’s commitment to biosecurity not only safeguards their own operations but also serves as an inspiring benchmark for the livestock industry, contributing significantly to the sustainability and resilience of Australia’s agricultural sector.”
“Livestock SA congratulates the Arney's on this well-deserved recognition.”
