Livestock SA encourages all people who are eligible to get vaccinated against Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV).
Japanese Encephalitis Virus (JEV) is a mosquito-borne disease that causes reproductive losses in pigs. JEV can also be transmitted to humans through bites from mosquitos and in rare cases, cause severe illness.

People aged 2 months and older who have a primary residence in an eligible postcode AND spend at least 4 hours per day outdoors most days
People employed in a role located in an eligible postcode AND spend at least 4 hours per day outdoors as part of their occupation most days
