Approved South Australian Red Meat and Wool Industry Funded Projects for 2024/2025
A wide range of projects and activities that benefit the livestock industry totalling $3,785,722 from the Sheep Industry Fund and $805,745 from the Cattle Industry Fund are underway*.
The SA Sheep and Cattle Industry Funds support the profitability and sustainability of the state’s sheep and cattle industries by investing in areas including animal health, traceability, predator control, advocacy, and industry development to ensure market access is protected, domestic and international trade is supported, and best practices can be developed and adopted.
An additional $900,000 and $289,991 from the Sheep Industry Fund has been allocated for rebuilding the SA Dog Fence and its ongoing maintenance**.

* The Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development approves projects and activities that are consistent with the Sheep Industry Fund and Cattle Industry Fund Regulations and releases the funding for these projects to Livestock SA for their administration.
** The Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development also approves the expenditure of the Dog Fence rebuild contribution, which is administered by the SA Dog Fence Board.
