NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On behalf of the Livestock SA Board, please be advised that the Annual General Meeting of the members of Livestock SA Inc. will be held:

BUSINESS

1. To approve the minutes of the 2022 AGM
2. To receive and note the financial statements and reports or the period 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023
   
3. To accept the 2022-23 Annual Report
   
4. To appoint five (5) Directors
   
5. To appoint an Auditor for the 2023-24 financial year.

DIRECTOR ELECTIONS

The following five Directors’ terms end with this year’s AGM:

• Allan Piggott
• Gillian Fennell
  
• Sam Neumann
  
• Glen Tilley
  
• Mark Dennis
  

All five Directors have confirmed their willingness to continue serving on the Livestock SA Board to complete the organisation’s governance and structural review. The Board recommends these five Directors are re-appointed to ensure the review can be finalised as completely and efficiently as possible.

Consistent with Clause 10.5 of the Constitution, if the number of nominations for the vacant Board Member positions is less than or equal to the number of vacancies, then all those nominated are to be declared without the need to proceed to an election.

However, if member(s) wish to nominate for the Board, we need to receive their nomination, consistent with Section 10 of the Constitution, by Tuesday 10 October 2023. We will then engage independent polling agency, TrueVote to run an election for the five Director positions.

The AGM will be followed by the Annual Industry Dinner at the Adelaide Pavilion. More details about the Industry Dinner will be provided soon.
