Future Livestock Leaders program launched for 2023

In 2022, Livestock SA hosted a university student during Livestock SA’s Industry Week, providing the student with invaluable livestock industry experiences and insights into agricultural policy and advocacy.

The program is designed to expose a potential young leader to a broad range of livestock issues and some of the work undertaken by Livestock SA. The program is aligned with our Industry Week (13th – 17th November this year) when all the Livestock SA sub-committees meet. The Industry Dinner, also held that week on 15 November, provides excellent networking opportunities.

The inaugural winner, Sophie Nuske from the University of Adelaide, had an unforgettable experience with us during Industry Livestock Week. She attended our prestigious Livestock Industry Dinner, where industry leaders gathered to discuss the future of agriculture.

Sophie also delved into the world of policy and advocacy for agriculture, gaining valuable insights

Sophie also had the honour of visiting Parliament House and meeting the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Honourable Clare Scriven MLC

We have now opened applications for the 2023 Future Livestock Leaders program. Students keen to make a mark in the livestock industry are encouraged to click here to apply.
