A Focus on Animal Movements
Every day, livestock are moved across the country, acting as vectors for potential infectious diseases, pests, and weeds. These may or may not be obvious upon inspection of the animals, and as such, all animals, whether they appear healthy or not, must be treated as a risk to your flock, herd, or environment when being introduced to your property.
In this month's biosecurity bulletin, we will focus on some considerations when introducing livestock to your property, including managing unwanted introductions such as strays.
