Have your say and hear more about the State Government’s new proposed Landscape SA Bill – aimed at improving the management of our natural resources in South Australia.
The government is committed to restoring the community’s confidence in South Australia’s natural resources management system by making it simpler and more transparent – by putting local communities at the heart of sustaining, conserving and revitalising our state’s landscapes.
The new Bill will replace the existing NRM Act – and will empower local communities and land managers to be responsible for sustainably managing their region’s natural resources, with a key focus on soil quality, water management, and pest plant and animal control.
Our landscapes support the state’s primary production, are fundamental to our health and wellbeing, and hold cultural and spiritual significance, so it’s important that all South Australians have the opportunity to give their input in how they are managed.
