Livestock SA will host a producer workshop on the Livestock Production Assurance program in Coober Pedy on Thursday, August 31, starting at 10am until 1.30pm.
The LPA program is the Australian livestock industry’s on-farm assurance program covering food safety, animal welfare and biosecurity. The program helps to ensure Australia’s reputation as a reliable supplier of safe red meat to domestic and international markets.
After the workshop, an open Livestock SA Northern Region meeting will be held at the same venue from 2pm, which all pastoralists are welcome to attend. Topics to be covered at the meeting include SA Brands App and the Beef Industry Blueprint. The meeting will also include an open forum.
The Livestock SA meeting will finish at 5pm, in time for those that want to head to the Pastoral Board public forum at 5.30pm.
