EP Grower Meetings: EP Transport Study and Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility

Wednesday, February 14, 2018 by Livestock SA

Grain Producers SA invites you to attend a briefing on the DPTI EP Transport Study and the new Chain of Responsibility legislation that will come into effect in July 2018.

EP Transport Study
DPTI and Genesee & Wyoming Australia have partnered to prepare a business case to consider the Eyre Peninsula railway network. DPTI is also developing an EP Transport Study in parallel to look at broader issues. GPSA is a member of the Key Stakeholder Reference Group and we would like to hear from as many EP grower members as possible. DPTI representatives will provide an overview of the project and seek grower feedback.

Chain of Responsibility
Primary producers using heavy road transport have specific obligations to ensure safety by preventing a breach of law under the Chain of Responsibility (CoR). New CoR laws are coming in mid 2018 that align more closely with workplace health and safety laws. Hear how these new laws will affect your business from NHVR representatives.

A light lunch is provided.
