A Bioenergy Seminar will be held at Mount Gambier on December 6.
As part of the seminar, there will be case studies of bioenergy projects happening in the Limestone Coast and information on secondary products and value adding.
A discussion will also be held on the future direction of a Biomass Hub for the region.
Keynote speakers include:
- Mark Glover from EcoWaste and Renewed Carbon will present on the economic benefits of regions entering the emerging bioeconomy. Mark will lead a discussion around large scale biomass projects occurring in other regions and what opportunities might look like for our region.
- Shahana Mckenzie from Bioenergy Australia will give insight into international investment in bioenergy in Australia and present findings from Bioenergy Australia’s State of the Nation Report – which ranks the States and Territories regarding their Bioenergy performance.
